1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a site. It lets your browser be recognised from one page to the next and stores certain information: that you are signed in, the language you chose, or how you arrived on the site.

This page describes exactly which cookies CitiFex uses, how long they last and what they are for. It complements our Privacy Policy.

2. The cookies we use

Necessary cookies. They are set without asking you because the service cannot work without them:

  • two session cookies keep you signed in to your account; they are inaccessible to page scripts and last 15 minutes and 7 days respectively;
  • one cookie remembers your display theme, light or dark;
  • one cookie remembers the language you are reading the site in;
  • one cookie stores your answer to the cookie banner for 12 months. Without it, you would be asked again on every page.

Audience measurement cookies. They are set only if you click "Accept" in the banner:

  • a random identifier valid for 12 months, which counts visitors and distinguishes visits without ever revealing who you are;
  • a cookie valid for 90 days recording which link brought you here, so we can measure how well our campaigns work;
  • the cookies set by the Meta pixel, which reports your visit and certain actions to Meta and lets that company connect your visit to its own campaigns. It is the only tracker on this page that does not belong to CitiFex.

What we do not use: no advertising cookies serving ads on the site, no resale of data, no sharing of your cookies with data brokers.

3. Accept, decline, change your mind

On your first visit, a banner asks whether you accept audience measurement. Until you answer, no measurement cookie is set and no request is sent to Meta. If you decline, nothing is measured: declining is one click and has no effect on your use of the site.

To take back consent you have already given, delete the citifex.com cookies from your browser settings. The banner will be offered again on your next visit and your new choice will be honoured.

You can also configure your browser to block or delete cookies generally. Be aware that blocking the necessary cookies will stop you from staying signed in to your account.
